The slaughter houses and meat shops will be closed on February 19 to mark Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti as per a decision taken by the general body meeting of Nagpur Municipal Corporation.Radhakrishnan B, Municipal Commissioner, said that the slaughter houses and meat shops within the limit of NMC would remain closed on this day.The flying squad of the corporation would check and if found any houses/shop open on this jayanti day then it would take suitable action for flouting the order, informed Dr Gajendra Mahalle, Deputy Commissioner and Director, Solid Waste Management.
